🧩 I use everything I know to pursue what I value most - helping everyone understand and improve health care.

When you browse through my projects, you'll immediately see that I take a unique, domain-informed approach to health data analysis and data science.  

I wrote my first line of code in the 4th grade, and got my first coding job in 1998.  

I've performed analyses in python, R, SAS, and JMP.  

I've written all different types of SQL since the early 2000s.

True problem understanding, creative feature development,  detailed analysis planning,  clear statistical interpretation and engaging presentation - as well as appropriate and ethical model and algorithm selection - are the essentials for a best-in-class analysis.

Passion for problem-solving, boundless dedication to life-long learning, compassion for humanity, and subject-matter expertise are what put these goals within my reach every day.

🩺 As an RN, I know first hand what goes on in the health care system.  I understand pharmacology, diagnoses and clinical comorbidities, including human responses to health alterations and treatments that aren't coded in the chart.  

When analysts or data scientists don't have domain knowledge, they may be asked to collaborate with clinical experts.  But do they know the right questions to ask those experts? Do they speak the clinician's language?  

I'm an interdisciplinary expert with over a decade of programming experience and the domain-specific understanding needed to produce transformative insights from all types of healthcare data.
