Technical & Compliance Analysis Consulting for Healthcare SaaS
Provide specialized consulting for health-tech SaaS companies operating in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, CMS, Cures Act).
Leverage AI-assisted methods to accelerate backlog generation — transforming unstructured inputs into structured, auditable Jira Product Discovery ideas that rapidly evolve into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
Help healthcare and adjacent startups reduce compliance risk, clarify requirements, and accelerate delivery timelines.
Offer an integrated mix of product analysis, compliance mapping, and prototype validation for founders, developers, and product teams building in regulated domains.
♍ Virgo AI’s proprietary accelerator, Clarus Backlog, is currently in development.
We will begin scheduling demos and discussing beta partner engagements in January 2026, and we look forward to collaborating with our early adopters as we refine and expand the platform’s capabilities.
April 2024 - September 2025
Lead Informatics Product Engineer / Principal Product Architect
Product-side software leader who specified, architected, and collaborated with every colleague to deliver an enterprise n-registry platform from proof-of-concept to launch in 10 months, collaborating with 100% offshore teams using Kanban and Agile methodologies.
Designed and specified a compliance-grade system featuring full data provenance, persistent versioning, self-service configuration, and audit-ready workflows — meeting 100% of regulatory and SME requirements (ACS TQIP / state-level standards).
Conceived and specified a metadata-driven, graph-powered platform enabling dynamic configuration, custom metrics, and scalable workflows across registries and reporting modules.
Advanced the organization’s strategic innovation agenda through visionary proposed initiatives including blind in-registry interrater reliability (IRR), Bayesian modeling for patient risk and materials management, DRG/MS-DRG alignment prediction, and TQIP benchmark interpretability optimization.

Roles:
Co-Designer & Co-Instructor, Using Statistics in Medicine (2023 - Present)
Instructor, Quantitative Methods and Decision Analysis (2022)
Teaching Assistant, Applied Biostatistics (2020)
Mentored students in SAS programming and statistical methods via weekly drop-in Zoom tutoring sessions
Coached students during Capstone analysis planning and communication of their statistical model interpretations
Assisted students with cohort creation planning and provided SAS code as needed
Provided example code in SAS for creating training, validation and testing sets and performing model evaluations with confusion matrices
Provided example code in SAS performing descriptive and predictive modeling using a variety of statistical methods including CMH and chi-squared testing, linear and logistic regression, regularization and survival analysis. Created lessons on Regularization / LASSO Selection, Logistic Regression & Model Evaluation, and Algorithmic Bias.
Co-developed and currently co-instruct the popular online course "Using Statistics in Medicine" for UC Davis CPE’s Health Professions Post-Baccalaureate program. Designed to help healthcare professionals critically interpret and apply statistical methods in clinical and outcomes research, the course blends lectures, discussions, and self-paced assignments with interactive Python notebooks. Core topics include probability (Bayes Theorem, random walks, CLT), inference and hypothesis testing, regression and multivariate modeling (logistic, Poisson, survival analysis), categorical methods (chi-squared, CMH, survey development), and bias in research and modeling. Emphasis is on practical interpretation, reproducibility, and hands-on application using real-world clinical datasets (e.g., Framingham, Cleveland Heart Data, Medicare Data - clinical & claims).
